Welcome back to the Vault, the space where we own our power, lead with clarity, and make strategic moves.

The Journal

A few months ago, I came across a quote that quietly disrupted me:

"It is safe to be seen."

At first glance, it felt comforting. But deep down, I knew I didn’t fully believe it.
Because being seen hasn’t always felt safe.
It’s felt costly. Risky. Even dangerous.

Still, I keep showing up—because I know that impact demands visibility.
And that’s the tension I’m sitting with.
I want to be seen… and I also want to protect myself.

If you’re anything like me, you know this feeling:
You long for change, but fear it won’t come.
You crave recognition, but dread rejection.
You want to take up space, but worry about the fallout.

That tension is exactly why I’m writing my next book.

Here’s how I’m working through this tension, and how you can too: 1. Name the fear. Say it plainly. “I’m afraid of being seen and rejected... See more

The Key

The real resistance to showing up isn’t about lacking skill.
It’s about the fear of being seen.

We think we’re hiding out of strategy.
But often, we’re hiding out of survival.

The truth?
Invisibility feels safe. Until it isn’t.
And anonymity feels protective—until you realize you’ve disappeared from your own life.

The Structure

Here’s how I’m working through this tension, and how you can too:

  • Name the fear. Say it plainly. “I’m afraid of being seen and rejected.” Visibility doesn’t require fearlessness—it requires honesty.

  • Practice being seen on your terms. Show up where you feel aligned. For me, I’m currently exploring Tiktok as a new space and LinkedIn as an expansion space. But maybe that’s not right for you. Maybe it’s a small room, a newsletter, a room of 5. That still counts.

  • Build safety within. The world may not always feel safe. Your platform might grow before you’re ready. But when your inner voice is grounded, the noise outside gets quieter.

The Question

Where have you confused invisibility with safety?
And what’s one small way you can start showing up again?

The Anchor

Visibility is not always safe.
But alignment is always worth it.
We’re just getting started.

Until next time,
